My happiness with you is unbearable
My anger for you is demented
My sadness at the notion of you leaving shatters
My serenity in your gaze is volcanic
Your whispering breaths rustle the corners of lips
Your bristling hairs comfort the quivers
Your chatters stomps out the worries
Your animal soul is more human than any other
They call you wild
I call you love.
Please give a detailed explanation about the meaning and main idea of this poem.
I was tired of people telling me how exactly love (a concept that’s so diverse) has to be.
Please explain your writing and thought process regarding this poem.
I wrote this poem in my anger about the world’s societal norms and ideas of love so I made it encompass the contrarian nature of love.
Why did you choose to write this poem?
Because my strong emotion led me to.
