TRACES OF MORNING LIGHT UNTIL THE BREAK OF DAWN - Charls Werrol Fernandez

No matter where I am or who are the people around me, I just let things happen even though it is not according to my plans at all. As I grew older, I realized that comparing yourself to others will make it more harder for you to live your life peacefully. And living with a lot of expectations will just add burdens to your heart, so just let it swim, let it fly. Remember that distancing yourself from everything isn't a bad thing at all, sometimes we just need that me time, for us to breath, be alone and discover ourselves even more. From now on, I hope that you'll live your life without any expectations, live free as long as it makes you happy and you're not hurting anyone.

Dear soul, make faith your friend, not your prisoner.

Does that make sense?

Please give a detailed explanation about the meaning and main idea of this poem.

Traces of morning light until the break of dawn want to show its readers that no matter how tiring our adventure is, it reminds us to accept tiredness, find beauty in setbacks, nurture hope and be patient and trust the unfolding journey of life. So, from our traces of morning light until the break of dawn, we'll get there.

Please explain your writing and thought process regarding this poem.

I simply want to believe that life won't end if you made a mistake, change won't happen overnight, it's a long process. So, this made me think to reestablish my life and continue to live it without any expectations.

Why did you choose to write this poem?

I wrote that poem because, oftentimes, I tend not to look at the brighter side of the world. Now, this inspired me to continue swimming and love my present self.

Do you have any tips or anything to share with the youth writers who may be reading this?

One simple tip I guess is always bring a pen and paper wherever you go because thoughts and words may come every single day at a different time and a different place. I think, we are all writers on our own unique way, so, let's just write and write and write.
