someone very close to her had taken away her ability to say
an opinion other than their own
and in all their interactions they had sewn
a tight web of hurt that would be hard to undo
so she just got onto
the plane with her family
she was very hurt but thought it would be okay
she sent a thank you for the trip
her heart did a skip
the message she received
did not put her at ease
she felt saddened and deflated
she would not be persuaded
though her father tried to ask her
to apologize to his mother
a way forward seemed impossible
it was indeed not plausible
her father said the moment was teachable
but a healthy way forward seemed
unreachable
