it was once all us,
until there was no trust.
all the friends i’ve made,
just fade me away.
everything word i say,
never finds its way.
you say all these words,
yet i never get preferred.
you ask if im ok?
this is just to much to weigh.
i sit there and pretend,
like this is the way to end.
Please give a detailed explanation about the meaning and main idea of this poem.
The meaning of this poem is about feeling alone, not heard and feeling left out. The main idea of this poem was to reach the right audience of some kids who feel this way.
Please explain your writing and thought process regarding this poem.
My thought process while writing this poem was to get everything I have felt and dealt with on a piece of paper. Everything i feel and everything i go through is easy to write as a poem.
Why did you choose to write this poem?
I chose to write this poem because I wanted a way to express my feelings and anyone else who feels this way. I want the audience to relate to the poem and now that theres people there for them.
Do you have any tips or anything to share with the youth writers who may be reading this?
Some tops to people writing any poems or reading would be feel the emotion of the poem. If someone asks” why'd you write this” you wouldn’t have an exact answer so its easy to write something you’ve felt. Find your voice, ask yourself “What makes my poetry different to anyone else’s ?” Finally, trust the process. You can’t expect to win something on your first try but if you keep going and trying then you’ll eventually get it.
