School is like a fish tank, keeping you in,
The classes are cages, that don’t make you grin.
But, once you push to the end of June,
You will know that summer is coming soon.
Summer, Summer, the freeness it gives,
Summer, Summer, where happiness lives.
This beautiful season that is finally here,
The grass is now green, and the blue sky is clear.
The soft breeze of the afternoon wind,
And the hot rays of sunlight, that leave you dark skinned.
The frogs are singing, the forests are so lush,
All the squirrels are playing in the brush.
Great warmth that wraps around your heart,
It’s the heat and the nature that sets this season apart.
The taste of a cold popsicle explodes in my mouth,
As I feel the wind move from the North to the South.
People will have a nice break from work and school,
But the most refreshing thing will be a dip in the pool.
“To the lake we go!” my little brother said,
Where we can water ski and in the water tread,
Where we can get a nice refreshing surprise,
And in the morning sit on the green hill, and watch the sun rise.
But soon, summer will go, and the leaves will turn orange and red,
The heat waves that were so hot will get out of your head.
The cool breeze comes in and the leaves fall down,
We will all miss summer, but soon it will come around.
