She is clear blue water
Blessed and carefree
I am a muddy puddle, no one stops to look at me
No bird dares to stop and drink from little dirty me
To be as clear , as pure as her would be a blessing to me
Yet here I sit
Little old muddy me.
Please give a detailed explanation about the meaning and main idea of this poem.
The idea of this poem is the constant comparison so many of us have towards others in our life. I struggle with it and so do many others. "Oh she's prettier" "wow her teeth are way whiter than mine."
We all do it without even noticing.
Please explain your writing and thought process regarding this poem.
I was feeling overwhelmed with the constant comparison I put on myself and needed an outlet for this.
Why did you choose to write this poem?
I chose the write this poem because it's true. These feelings aren't faked or built, they're real.
