Is the truth even real?
Looking into someone’s eyes,
Deepy enough to see their soul.
“I’m telling the truth.”
That’s what they all say.
Truth is a lie,
It’s a twisted concept of the mind,
The unwinding of stereotypes.
Believing in someone's truth,
But can you even believe the words they say?
Truths can be fooled by lies,
Lies are full of tricks.
Is the truth even real?
The twist of the mind,
The unwinding of stereotypes.
What truths can be told as true?
What truths can be told as lies?
Truth and lies blow together with the wind.
Stereotypes,
Twisting of the mind.
What can be trusted as true is unknown.
Please give a detailed explanation about the meaning and main idea of this poem.
The meaning of this poem is that people can lie and say they are telling the truth and you believe them, but really it was a lie. That truths can be tied with lies as the same concept. Therefore the main Idea of the poem is can you believe someone who says they are telling the truth, or do you think they are lying?
Please explain your writing and thought process regarding this poem.
My thought process in writing this poem is that I have had some people in my life lie to me but tell me they are telling the truth, so I thought I could write a poem about putting opposite topics together in one because they could be used in the same. Lying but lying to say you told the truth.
Why did you choose to write this poem?
Because I liked the Idea of writing a poem about Truth, and then realized I could add lies to truths and make them work together, even though they are oppoites.
